Abstract
Since the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Shanghai has been a prosperous Catholic parish, which occupies a considerable position in missionary history. With the record of "Jing Yi Tang Zhi", we can understand the construction and development of the Shanghai church ” Jing Yi Tang” in Chongzhen to Kangxi dynasty. In particular referencing “bai ke xun shi”, we can also understand the Jesuits church how to build and arrange. In addition, from the "Jing Yi Tang Zhi" records, we can see how the missionaries in Shanghai to operate the whole parish, by the sale of real estate, some of the records of business events. The missionary get certain degree of economic strength, then establish a solid network of local people. So that when the parish the difficulties encountered, there is enough the social resources to overcome.
