Abstract
Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) possess many advantages, such as higher brightness, high contrast ratio, low operation voltage, and flexibility. OLEDs are regarded potential to replace liquid crystal, and are promising technology in next-generation flat panel display. In this thesis, the fabrication of active matrix pixel, which consists of two transistors and one capacitance is studied. We use P3HT as the polymeric semiconductor layer in our polymeric transistor, and we optimize the carrier mobility and ON/OFF ratio. We have successfully achieved a high value of mobility above 10-2 cm2V-1s-1, and a ON/OFF ratio is around 103. We believe, with continued studied, the active pixel can be commercialized.
