Abstract
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, a loss of the subchannel orthogonality due to the time-varying multipath fading leads to interchannel interference (ICI). In this study, based on the dominant ICI terms, a simple frequency-domain equalization technique is proposed to efficiently compensate for the effect of ICI in a multipath fading channel.A robust frequency-domain channel estimation is presented by considering the worst-case unmodeled parameter of time-varying fading channel from the minimax perspective. A robust adaptive equalizer is also developed by considering the error covariance of channel estimation, which is implemented in paralled form for efficiently computation. Finally, the computer simulations have indicated the superiority of the proposed method.
