Abstract
Firstly, this thesis focus on the overall introduction to the electromagnetic pulsing phenomenon generated from radiation, nuclear physic, and the effect of sudden nuclear exploration. Besides, it explains the obtainment and modules of the materials of nuclear bomb’s core. Secondly, I will introduce the characteristics of neutron radiation, r-ray, and X-ray of electromagnetic pulsing source generated from nuclear exploration and verify the energy, strength, and angle’s distribution of source by experiments. After setting up the database from experiments, the magnitude of source from air exploration of different equivalent atomic, hydrogen, and neutron bombs will be used as the input item to calculate electromagnetic pulse. The model of electromagnetic pulsing source generated from nuclear exploration was built on MATLAB program language, including input, calculate, and output parts. The calculate part was designed to simulate the interaction between nuclear exploration and atmosphere and electromagnetic pulsing source generated from nuclear exploration. The output part was designed to estimate the strength, range, and time of electromagnetic pulses, and the degree of interference to radio-communication. Therefore, the model will provide the pre-judgments and optimization of the impacts of electromagnetic pulses from the different nuclear exploration’s height in stratosphere on land, according to the application on different equivalent nuclear weapons. The concerned authorities could execute the protection system and assess the damage from electromagnetic pulses. The exploration of 1kT atomic bomb at 50km and different angles, including 0o、45o、85o,was chosen as the demo calculation of model. According to different ionizing energy between 0.0006-15 MeV, the model will calculate the generation and disappearance time, the strength of electric field, and electronic density of electromagnetic pulses in different atmosphere.
