Abstract
This thesis deals with the syntactic behaviors of Chinese psych verbs and proposes a null operator movement hypothesis with such predicates. Psych verbs are those which describe mental states or mental transitions. Moreover, psych verbs are famous for the bizarre flip of their two arguments where EXPERIENCER is either mapped to the subject or to the object, and also for their’s unusual binding properties.
