Abstract
In this study, the effect of humidity on the conductive property of multi-walled carbon nanotubes / polyvinyl alcohol (MWCNT/PVA) composite have been investigated. According to variable-range hopping (VRH) conductive theory, the average hopping distance and hopping energy can be evaluated. The results may explain why the resistivity change with humidity. Besides, we observed the glass transition temperature might shift under different relative humidity. Above relative humidity 65.15%, glass transition temperature may less than room temperature. This phenomena ought to occur within other water soluble polymer based CNT composite. Moreover, we established a different method to measure the humidity that required for glass transition at different temperature.
