Abstract
New technologies and E-commerce impact all trades and professions drastically. These methodologies considerably improve the front-end efficiency (company’s interacting with customers); however, how to combine websites with physical distribution to gain maximum profits is the goal that every company wants to achieve. This research provides a systematic method to analyze the Distribution Center (DC), because one of DC’s main functions is to distribute physical goods. Then, we build a simulation model according to the real case. After simulation, we can base on the figures and refer to the reference model, try to find out the bottleneck, and modify business process. We design several projects to improve the processes of DC and evaluate the performance of the projects. Companies can imitate this kind of method to pre-evaluate any improvement project, and won’t waste any budget on useless modification.
