In the recent years, 3D object reconstruction is more and more important, especially in the applications of surgical simulation and training systems. To achieve reality in computer animation, the created 3D models needs to represent the objects realistically. Many deformable models can be used in reconstruction. We choose the deformable simplex meshes in our reconstruction approach.Deformable simplex meshes have a lot of advantages for modeling. Their constant connectivity is the important property that parametric parameters and simplex angles can be easily defined. The smoothness of the surface and the deformation of the meshes are simply controlled by them.In this paper, we will describe the geometry and the property of simplex meshes. Formula for forces is expressed through their metric parameters and simplex angles. Reconstruction scheme is proposed, and improvements are suggested. Finally, we show the result for objects reconstruction and make a conclusion.
