Abstract
Taiwan has changed her industry from traditional manufacture to hi-tech now. “Innovation” and “Management” are getting important. how to get a high efficient R&D team is the most target for all Taiwan enterprises. The study adopts case study to research what are the factors to affect the efficiency of R&D team during their developing proceeding. Besides, the study also does the research to know what characteristics of the project leader will have the relation to the performance of R&D team. After study, I find all the factors that affect R&D performance can be summarized by three portions, which are communication & coordination, knowledge management, and organization process. As for the project leader, the study appears that three characteristics are with obvious relation to R&D performance, which are the ability for communication & coordination, solving problem and making decision. The ability for leadership and releasing pressure are not so obvious. Furthermore, the study finds the relationship among people and the project leader owning the relative technique may sometimes cause negative feedback to R&D performance. From study, communication & coordination appear to be the main factors to affect R&D performance. It’s also to have high relation to knowledge management and organization process. Finally, I hope the study can provide some helps to the enterprises in case they are to build a R&D team in their company.
