Abstract
The total cross sections of sulfur and tungsten were measured for neutron energy range 5.36~6.28 Mov with 40 Kev steps and the Time-of Flight technique. Potential scattering cross \sections as function of energy were determined with the knowledge of nuclear raoo which were calculated and confirmed with the single-level Wigner formula. Componente of the total cross sections were studied and it shows that the compound elastic scattering processes seldom occur for both light nueleus S and heavy nucleus W at this energy range.
