Abstract
The evaluation of maintenance performance and the involved decision making are important issues of maintenance management, especially for complex systems. In this thesis, we have constructed a research framework that integrated the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), decision analysis for maintenance activities, and the performance evaluation. We conducted an empirical study in Taipei Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) for illustrations. In particular, we developed a Grey Multiattribute Evaluation method for selecting daily Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) maintenance activities in the Peitou Depot. We also developed specific performance evaluation indexes for maintenance management. Because of the construction of such evaluation indexes, the objectives of promoting maintenance performance can be achieved in concrete directions. This thesis concludes with discussions on future research directions.
