Abstract
Hearing-impaired people have difficulties in listening and speech learning. They need a speech training aids to facilitate the speech learning. Since Mandarin is a tonal language. Tone information is very important in Mandarin Speech. We enhance the Mandarin speech training system by improving the scheme of utterance verification and including the function of tone recognition. The improved system can easily prepare the teaching materials and automatically judge the correctness of pronunciation.
