Abstract
The era of IOT and Industry 4.0 is coming. We can see there are a lot of automation and intelligent device had been invented. One of the invitation is Automated Guided Vehicle and it becomes one of the most promotion techniques. However, Automated Guided Vehicle is not only applying on manufacturing. If we can apply AGV flexibly base on its features of “Automated” and “Guided”, AGV can play an important role in any kinds of industries. This research is written through personal participation in the industry. Analyzing the information obtained from the market. Dividing AGVs into 11 categories by the classification method, and the characteristics of each application field can be quickly retrieved by the classification method. Also, the features of hardware and software of AGV will be discussed in this research. The hardware architecture of the AGV can be spilt into basic body, central computer and sensors. The software can be sorted into five categories and be sequenced by the importance. In the order of Perception and Mapping, Navigation and Control, Fleet Management, Communicate with infrastructure, and Connect with other software. The research will focus on three hardware architecture and five categories of software to do further analysis.
