Abstract
The current Scholarly Research about Chen Ke Hua is focus on his poetry.Recently, poetry is not the only way lead to Chen Ke Hua’s kingdom. Researcher is already concern about his essays and even his comments on current affairs.There is the studies of language skills, artistic aesthetics or topic(e.g., erotic writing, death writing), one has noticed his critical spirit as intellectual. With close reading, researcher could realize the visuality of the text. For example, Liu Cheng chung’s academic journal about Chen Ke Hua’s Poetry have point out the ”Views of Science Fiction”. Despite the fact that Liu have written this academic journal for three years, there is no following research about the visuality of Chen Ke Hua’s poetry.Therefore, this study is trying to analyze visuality of Chen Ke Hua’s Poetry. The framework of this article is based on studies of gender, Others and subjectivity.There are deep discussions and analysis on the three main issues above will be on Second to forth chapters.The first chapter is general introduction, including the definition of topic, literature reviews, research method and limitations. And then presents the framework of the study.As the main discussion, chapter two analyzes how the different gender perspective looks at the impact of heterosexual hegemony on “Home, Happiness and Marriage”.Chapter Three turned to gaze carefully at Others. In Chen Ke Hua’s Poetry, the boundary between human and animal has been breached.The transgression is a way to question the rationalist hegemony.On the other hand, take a deeper look to post-human that establish Chen’s unique runaway path from human.The attempt of chapter four is, through the subjectivity of visuality of text, pave the way to understand Chen’s mind as a Narcissist or Nihilist. To discuss further about subjective experiences under the gaze of public, modern technology and medical –settings.The research shows that “ātma-grāha” can coexist with “anātman” in Chen’s work. Chapter 5 is the epilogue which outlined another kind of concept of vision. Like “gentle look”, “sympathetic gaze”, and travelers' views(also known as tourist gaze)”. In order to establish a comprehensive research result from another point of view.In Chapter 5, there is some poems showing that disciplinary gaze is not always play an important role in Chen’s work. It is nearly opposite to what we have discussed in Chapter 2 to Chapter 4. On the other hand, we were trying to explain the intertextual relationship between drawing, book design and writing of Chen’s picturesque writing.
