Abstract

車用電腦階層式選單視覺需求 E-Carhierarchical menuvisual demand
In terms of safety, E-Car applications could be too visually demanding, distracting drivers from the road. It easily leads to traffic accident. In order to solve the overload problem of visual demand and to avoid traffic accident, integrating multimedia console interface is the first step to solve the problem and to save the usage of space. Then, it is also necessary to apply hierarchical menu structure which we emphasize right here. The polestar of the console menu design can reduce mean glance time (watching away from the driving scene to the secondary function interface in E-Car) as possible as we can. The mean glance time is expected and preferred to be lower than 1.2 seconds. Furthermore, through experiments, the operation methods of the touch screen and a three buttons set (enter, back, and escape) attaching on the steering wheel were compared to find out a better control design in E-Car.An original touch screen and a button set operation system of integrated interface in E-Car are constructed, and one can obtain some results from analyzing statistical data after finishing the experiment: Generally speaking, the operation mode of touch screen is better than the operation mode of button set. Besides, visual demand could represent the difficult degree of driving conditions. One has to operate the device of vehicle, the secondary tasks, with the higher visual demand and the more risk of accident could be happened. Finally, one outcome is unexpectedly found that button-pressing motion and wheel-steering motion are restrained from each other while driving and operating button set at the same time.
