Abstract
一般初學者參閱軟體使用者手冊裡的指導方式和引導學習原則時，常發覺手冊像百科全書般的厚重，資訊內容呈現錯綜複雜，造成使用者閱讀時視覺疲勞，降低閱讀效率，阻礙了有效性的學習。有鑑於此，本研究試圖提出設計的標準原則，以降低初學者在使用手冊過程中錯誤的發生，並增進工作績效和提高系統的效率。 本研究是以軟體使用者手冊設計原則為基礎，結合人因工程的觀點，由現場研究、使用者訪談、和問卷調查方式，將各項屬性來源發展出軟體使用手冊設計之查核表。本研究以新軟資訊社人事系統之軟體使用手冊為個案研究，而改良版手冊是以查核表為改善參考依據。在公正、公平原則考量之下，將40位受試者以隨機方式分為原始組和改良組，而原始組使用原版手冊，改良組使用改良版手冊然後比較兩組完成測試的時間；並以問卷調查方式，收集實際使用這套人事系統廠家（共計20份）、和受試者（共計40份）做滿意度評比分析，結果顯示改良版手冊皆能有效率的幫助初學者完成作業。 在未來的研究方向，可朝著下列建議發展(1)本人事系統之軟體手冊做全面性修訂；(2)心智模式的建立；(3)多媒體電子文件；(4)各式手冊設計；(5)各行業查核表的設計。As general beginners read the guide style and study rules insoftware user manuals, they usually find that user manuals areas thick as an encyclopedia, and that the information present-ation is very complicated. And these result in visual fatigue，low reading efficiency and impediment of effective study．Inview of this，research tried to decrease errors when usingbeginner's user manuals，and improve work performance andsystem efficiency． Based on the design principles of softwareuser manuals, a software user manual checklist was developedwhich include various kinds of attributes derived from fieldstudy, interv- iews,and questionnaire.Then the original manualof a New Soft- ware Coporation Personal system was revided intotwo groups-one group use original user manuals，and anothergroups use revised one,and the time to complete theexperimental tasks of these two groups was recorded．In addition，a questionnaire was designed to collect and the satisfactionrating of corporations where physically use this personnelsystem（20 shares）and testers（40 shares）.The result showsthat renewed one can always effectively help beginners tocomplete tasks． For the future study, we suggest the followingdirections : (1) Overall modification of the software usermanual for this personnel (2) Establishment of mental model .(3) Multi-media electric document (4) All sorts of manualDesign .(5)Checklist ddesign of all kinds of professions andtrades .
