Abstract
In this study, we use dual Mach-Zehnder interferometers for fiber-optic distributed intrusion detection and location sensor system. The scheme of the dual Mach-Zehnder interferometer used here is different from conventional ones, in which a dynamic polarization control needs to adjust the state of polarization to obtain interference signal patterns that can be used for location of intruders. By using a proposed algorithm of locating intruders here, the location of intruders can be determined. Also by setting an appropriate threshold value of characteristic power in this study, we can observe that the accuracy of locating intruders depends on this threshold value.
