Abstract

磁光陷阱 光學幫浦法 電磁波引發透明 Magneto-Optical Trap Optical-pumping technique electromagnetically induced transparency rubidium
We have demonstrated a magneto-optical trap that simultaneously captures two different isotopes - rubidium-85 and rubidium-87, and atom numbers of 6×10^8 for each atom are trapped. The single-specie and double-species MOTs are described. We optimize them by directly measuring the number of atoms with the optical-pumping technique. An intensity profile of the spatial atomic distributions, as observed by the CCD, is discussed. Finally, we performed the experiments of slow-light, which is based on the electromagnetically induced transparency, and the theoretical prediction is in agreement with the measurements.
