Abstract
Room-temperature ionic liquids, with low viscosity and no measurable vapor pressure, can be used as environmentally benign media. It may prove to be suitable replacement for the toxic, flammable, and volatile organic compounds. Therefore, we try to get phase equilibrium data of ionic liquid-[emim][PF6] and water for industrial practical applications. TGA was used to measure the solubility of [emim][PF6] in water and solubility of water in [emim][PF6]. Solid-Liquid Equilibria (SLE) were obtained at T = 25℃、35℃、42℃ and Liquid-Liquid Equilibria (LLE) at T = 45℃、50℃、55℃ respectively. DSC was used to measure the melting points of [emim][PF6]-water in different composition. A phase equilibrium diagram of [emim][PF6]-water was obtained from data of SLE、LLE and melting points data.
