Abstract
Recently, cam mechanism is widely used in pharmaceutical machinery, food packaging machinery, presses automatic feeding machine, glass machinery, ceramic machinery, tobacco machinery, filling machinery, printing machinery, electronic machinery and machining center automatic tool changer. However, the cam mechanism will have low allowance of tolerance, separating from follower, the spring reducing the resonant frequency, high production costs and so shortcomings. In this thesis, a slider six-bar mechanism was designed to replace dwell cam mechanism. Use the concept of solution plane method with bar linkage analysis, curvature radius analysis and limiting conditions. Then, write a program of slider six-bar mechanism synthesis to assist the design of the linkage size to achieve similar to the follower movement curve. In the end of this article, there is an example of using this program to successfully synthesize a set of linkages that approximate the cam curve of the heat seal device. It is confirmed that the computer-aided synthesis of the mechanism and the solution plane method can help the user to synthesize the linkage mechanism with the motion curve of the dwell cam mechanism.
