Abstract

自立體顯示器傾斜微柱面透鏡陣列技術光纖立體顯示器 auto-stereoscopic displayslanted lenticular arrayfiber 3D display
Recently, the display industry has reached great success. The technologies of stereoscopic displays which require viewers to wear special instrument to watch the stereo image have been developed maturely by the end of the 20th century. Nevertheless, wearing glasses is not convenient and comfortable. Therefore, naked-eye 3D display is taken as the major development technology in the 21st century.In this research, I propose two new architectures for spatial multiplexed auto-stereoscopic display with binocular parallax, motion parallax, multi-viewing zones and high resolution.The first architecture is a new type 3D display with fiber bundle to transmit image pixel to pixel from microdisplay to the screen. High power LED has been used as the light source and a micro lenticular array is attached onto the screen for producing multi view image. Though feasible, the cost and technology issues make fiber 3D display difficult to realize. Another architecture based on proximity projector array has been proposed to make high resolution image source. The projected image from microdisplay is tiled up on the screen, which has a slanted lenticular array in front.However, there are problems of viewing zone overlapping and crosstalk when using slanted lenticular array, a black mask has been proposed to cover on the lenticular array. By this way, we can eliminate the problems of overlapping and crosstalk. According to the result of simulation and analysis, we have demonstrated that this structure is a feasible approach for naked-eye 3D display.
