Abstract
We report a case of painless aortic dissection which resulted in acute paraplegia at the time of presentation. Medical treatment was given with partial recovery of the patient's neurological function. Such presentation of aortic dissection is easily overlooked. Careful review of medical history with appropriate imaging studies is warranted in patients with acute spinal cord ischemia, especially if predisposing factors or other suggestive signs of aortic dissection are present.
