摘要
This paper aims at an effective resource management scheme for ultra-wideband (UWB) networks where the inherent spread spectrum supports simultaneous transmissions. In specific, we present a transmission frame structure tailoring to the UWB characteristics, and develop a novel control message exchange procedure. Furthermore, we propose effective admission control and resource allocation algorithms to achieve high efficiency. The resource management scheme can solve the near-sender-blocking problem and alleviate the negative effect of long acquisition time in UWB transmissions. Extensive simulations demonstrate the superior performance of our proposed scheme. © 2007 IEEE.
