Abstract

Nitrogen-ion-irradiation induced dislocation loops in zirconium are investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The loops are identified to be vacancy in nature with (a/3) LT AN BR 112 OVER BAR 0 RT AN BR Burgers vectors. The habit planes of the loops are determined to lie on or near the primary or secondary prism planes. Both edge and non-edge type loops are found.
