Abstract

Important product particle characteristics in gas phase reaction production of powders can now be studied subject to process variations by solving the discrete general aerosol dynamic equation that governs the particle size evolution in the reactor. Solution of the equation, however, can be quite complex and the size of simulation are apparently enormous. The paper presents a method to circumvent the difficulty in computing the collision integrals of discrete-sectional model for this process.
