Abstract
Commercial dental archwires were surface treated with anodizing processes, and colorful dental archwires were prepared. Anodization only changed the oxide layers on the archwire surfaces and the entities of the wires were not altered, so no biocompatibility problems were introduced by the anodized wires. A patent application for this new invention is currently in process.
