摘要
A new form of conformal radiotherapy combined with accelerated hyperfractionation, AcMAR, was applied to 101 patients with advanced head and neck tumors. Analysis of the clinical results with mean follow-up period of 27 months revealed encouraging tumor control with improved patients' tolerance to acute mucositis. Late ulceration, however, was observed in some patients who were treated with higher single dose per fraction.
