In the update by Si-Peng Li, Wei-Chen Hsiao, Ching-Ching Yu, Wei-Ting Chien, Hong-Jyune Lin, Li-De Huang, Chien-Hung Lin, Wan-Ling Wu, Shih-Hsiung Wu, and Chun-Cheng Lin, in Volume 356, Issue 14-15, 2014, pp 3199-3213 (DOI: 10.1002/adsc.201400066), the authors discovered that the structures of compounds 6, 10, (shown in Scheme 3) 13, 14, and SSEA-3 (shown in Scheme 5) are incorrect. An isomer of compound SSEA-3 was in fact prepared and the claim that SSEA-3 was synthesized is incorrect; as a consequence the title, abstract, text and conclusions need to be corrected accordingly. The correct structures are found below, in which the name of SSEA-3 in Scheme 5 has been changed to 6′′-iso-Gb5. The revised title of the article is as follows.
