摘要
Cyclic voltammetry (CV) is used to characterize PdO-coated titanium electrodes fabricated by thermal decomposition. PdO electrodes were subjected to various treatments and their CVs as well as that of a pure, untreated Pd electrode are compared for their electrochemical behavior. X-ray diffraction is used to generate crystalline structural information. The Pd(IV)/Pd(II) redox transition is proposed as being responsible for the oxidation of alcohols to acids and validated from CV results of ethanol and acetaldehyde oxidation. © 1993, The Electrochemical Society, Inc.
