Abstract

Polypyrrole and derivatives UV-Vis-NIR absorption
Cohesive, high-quality conducting films of polypyrrole doped with chloride, (Cl - ); methanesulfonate, (MSA - ); or anthraquinone-2-sulfonate, (AQSA - ) anions are readily deposited on glass substrates from polymerizing aqueous solutions of pyrrole. The properties of the films vary greatly with dopant anion and also with the hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity of the substrate surface.
