Abstract
We obtain the constraints on the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements and on the charged-Higgs-boson parameters in the two-Higgs-doublet model. Using these we find that the branching ratios for the direct CP-violating contributions to the rare decays KL→π0e+e- and KL→π0νν̄ vary in a wide range. The 90% C.L. upper bounds for the CP-violating branching ratios are significantly enhanced relative to the standard model, which could reach 5 × 10-11 and 4 × 10-10, respectively. We also find a possibly large T-violating observable in K+→π+μ+μ-. © 1992 The American Physical Society.
