Abstract
This paper calculates the form factor and multiple scattering in metal-stub photonic structures for a wave of 94 GHz. Form factor and multiple scattering which affect the pattern and intensity of the diffraction peaks will be shown. In addition, this work examines five Bravais lattices made of metal stubs with a computer-controlled equipment. The new experimental system significantly shortens the data acquisition time and enhances the stability of the measurement. The diffraction pattern and intensity of the calculated results matched well with the experimental ones. With properly designing the model crystal, this instrument can be used to study scattering, diffraction, and terahertz photonic crystal in a parallel-plate configuration. © 2014 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
