Abstract

Syntheses of large-pore silica mesophases, including SBA-15, KIT-6, KIT-5 and SBA-16, by using the carboxylate-terminated triblock copolymers (Pluronic P123 or F127) as the structural directing agents have been demonstrated. The effects of the end-group oxidation of the triblock copolymers on the formation kinetics and the structural properties of the resulting materials have been studied and discussed. © 2007 Elsevier B.V.
