Abstract

Fe-Pd Martensite phase transformation Melt-spun ribbons Shape memory effect
The Fe-Pd with approximately 30 at.% of Pd shape memory ribbons were manufactured by the free jet melt-spinning method with various wheel velocities. The microstructure of the as-spun ribbons was investigated. The three low weight ingots of fe-Pd of the same nominal composition were prepared by arc-melting in argon atmosphere.
