Abstract
Gamma-gamma angular correlations for several cascades in Ce142 were measured using a four-detector system. In a recent publication the level at 1219 keV was assigned 22+ in contradiction to a previous assignment of 41+. This makes Ce142 completely different from any known nucleus in the same region. It is shown, however, that this level is, in fact, completely consistent with 4+ and is in agreement with systematics.
