Abstract

FeNdBO ferromagnetic thin films High-frequency ferromagnetic properties Micro-inductor
100-nm-thick FeNdBO films were prepared by dc magnetron sputtering. It is revealed that these films exhibit relatively high saturation magnetization (M s ), high anisotropy field (H k ), and extremely high electrical resistivity (ρ), which are satisfied with the requirements of soft magnetic materials for high-frequency applications. Favorable high-frequency ferromagnetic properties with resonance frequency f r in excess of 3 GHz and relative permeability over 100, are achieved for the annealed films. These results suggest that FeNdBO films are potential candidates for high-frequency applications. © 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
