Abstract

A preliminary investigation of the relative merits of the present method and other related methods such as the two-mode method were reported previously by the authors. In this paper they present results of further experiments which illustrate for the first time several important issues which need to be considered for laser stabilization by the total power method. Improved laser stabilities are obtained.
