Abstract

An improved analysis method by using indirect - Fourier transform method (IFT) plus hard sphere interactions is used to analyze small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) data from aged Al-Li alloy. The size distributions of precipitates from aged Al-9.7% alloys are in good agreement with the modified Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner (MLSW) theory.
