Abstract
Since 2013, with Jane as the theme, I created the ＂Jane＂ series of works. There are 10 art works: ＂Traveling to＂, ＂Jane's Diary＂, ＂What is your scent today?, ＂Flowing Jane 2018＂, ＂Digital Portraits-Jane 2019＂, ＂ Garden of Portraits＂, ＂My Name is Jane＂, ＂ChitChat＂, ＂Please Tell Me＂ and ＂i_digi_jane＂. As a confirmation of the presence or absence, this series works utilizes the data of ＂Jane＂ on the internet to create a coded entity through the texts, images, portraits, scent, and voice, etc. Technical applications include automatic search system platforms, real-time digital image processing, facial recognition systems, interactive control, text to voice automatic systems, big data analysis, Affective computing, artificial intelligence. This paper employs Goffman's ＂Dramaturgy Theory＂ to analyze the context and performance of the ＂Jane＂ series. Discuss two issues 1, performance and narrative strategies, and 2, the confirmation of existence by information and performativity.
