摘要
Sampling and analyses using standard methods has been the most efficient means to obtain reliable results. Standard method selection has relied heavily on the analyst's heuristic and algorithmic capabilities. An integrated expert?database system, OPSAES, was developed to stimulate this expertise that would assist the user to select methods to sample and analyze organic pollutants via specification of analytical descriptors. The merits of improvements in environmental analytical data generation process through the use of OPSAES are demonstrated.
