Optical RKKY interaction between charged semiconductor quantum dots

Abstract

An optical technique to generate and control the entanglement of the spin of two electrons localized in neighboring quantum dots (QDs) is presented. The control of the spin can be realized in the adiabatic regime and can lead to the realization of spin quantum gates useful for quantum information processing and to control of the magnetization of an ensemble of dots.
