Abstract
A study was performed on organic semiconductor nanowires for field emission. The AlQ 3 nanowires were first synthesized by vapor condensation and a performance comparable to the carbon nanotubes was obtained. The morphology of the nanostructures was examined by a field emission gun scanning electron microscopy (FEGSEM). The results showed that the flexibility and the field emission current density of the nanowires were higher than expected.
