Abstract
The fabrication of composites of nanosized CdS-ZnS core-shell particles well dispersed in polycetyl-p-vinylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride (PCVDAC) was discussed. It was found that the polymer domains in the composite were composed of lamellar stacks due the comb-like structure of PCVDAC. The analysis suggested that the core-shell particles were located at the grain boundary of the liquid crystalline domains.
