Abstract
Amorphous Ti 50 Mn 50 was prepared by mechanical alloying of the elemental powders in a high energy ball mill. The amorphous powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction. The crystallization behaviour was examined by differential scanning calorimetry and isothermal heating. The enthalpy of mixing and diffusion behaviour in the amorphous phase were evaluated and compared with those of other Ti-based binary alloys. © 1993.
