摘要
The dominant production mechanism for bc bound states with a large transverse momentum in high energy processes is the production of a high energy b antiquark, followed by its fragmentation into the bc state. We calculate the fragmentation functions for the production of the S-wave states Bc and Bc* to leading order in the QCD coupling constant. The fragmentation probabilities for bBc and bBc* are approximately 3.8 × 10-4 and 5.4 × 10-4, while those for cBc and cBc* are smaller by two orders of magnitude. © 1993 The American Physical Society.
