Abstract

assisted controlled directed promoted Silicon Organic Chemistry
By virtue of its ability to stabilize neighboring cations and radicals, even when as remote as in the γ-position, silicon can direct, promote, or assist reactions that are, in its absence, difficult or messy or both or even altogether impossible. Presented below is a brief account of part of our recent work on the use of silicon to control organic reactions.
