Abstract
The structure of a fullerenol hypercrosslinked poly(urethane-ether) elastomer has been characterized by small angle neutron scattering. The observed scattering profile indicates an isotropic dispersion of the crosslinking agents, fullerenols C 60 (OH) 12 , in the matrix of poly(urethane-ether) (PU). The mean spacing between the crosslinking sites, obtained from the correlation function is 150 angstrom, which is related to the conformation of the PU arms in the network. The same elastomer has also been measured under an uniaxial stretch.
