Abstract
A spectrum-broadened laser-diode source that uses the optical feedback and current-modulation effects has been adopted as the light source of a fiber-optic gyroscope to reduce the inherent phase noise. The scale factor of the gyroscope has also been stabilized. © 1991 Optical Society of America.
