The issue of key agreement in securing very small aperture terminal (VSAT) satellite communications was discussed. Safeguarding against impersonation attack is an important feature of key agreement scheme. In this regard, three key agreement schemes for VSAT communications, based on Yacobi and Diffie-Hellman schemes, and their vulnerable side were discussed.
