Abstract
In this paper, we discuss an extended form of the reversed generalized logistic distribution and refer to it as five parameter generalized logistic distribution. Several properties of this distribution, such as moments, are examined. The degree of approximation of this distribution to its limiting distribution is examined. Furthermore, approximation of the log-gamma distribution using this distribution is discussed. Finally, possible applications of this distribution in bioassays as a dose response curve are illustrated with an example.
